Tannoy North America is proud to announce that their Tannoy Precision D Active Monitoring Series has been nominated for a 2006 Technical Excellence & Creativity Award in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement, Studio Monitor Technology.
The TEC Awards was established by Mix magazine in 1985 to honour outstanding achievement in the professional recording and sound production industry. The Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards is the foremost program recognizing the achievements of audio professionals. Presented annually by the Mix Foundation for Excellence in Audio, the TEC Awards honor the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind the sound of recordings, films, TV shows and live performances. TEC Awards nominations are made by a panel of industry professionals and voted upon by the subscribers of Mix Magazine.
Introduced at last year’s NAMM Show, Tannoy Precision D active nearfield reference monitors are serving the demanding needs of professionals in recording, broadcast and post production environments. The Precision range combines the latest Tannoy Dual Concentric™ driver and WideBand™ technology to deliver nearfield monitoring speaker designs that set fresh standards of acoustic performance and accuracy.
The winners of the 22nd Annual TEC Awards will be announced at a ceremony Saturday, October 7, at the San Francisco Hilton, on the second night of the AES Convention.
